Description American Thermoform has been producing high-quality braille labeling materials since 1983. Our labels feature a specially formulated adhesive that will not clog embossing pins and does not generate static electricity—two common causes of embossing problems. Because of their reliability and performance, our braille labels have become an industry standard used by organizations and individuals around the world. Our braille labeling material is available in two formats: cut sheet / single sheet (Braillables) and continuous / tractor feed (Embossables). Both formats are made from the same durable material and are designed to produce clear, consistent braille. Braille can be embossed directly onto the labels, which can then be cut to the desired size and applied to nearly any surface. The material is perfectly clear, making it ideal for labeling book titles, shelves, canned goods, and other objects at home, school, or in the office. Standard finished sheet size is 8.5×11″, though custom braille label sizes are available upon request. For those who qualify, braille labeling material can be shipped through the U.S. Postal Service as Free Matter for the Blind. Delivery times vary depending on location. If faster delivery is required, we also offer shipping through commercial carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL. For large orders, please contact us about palletizing, air freight, or sea freight options. Braillables are single-sheet, adhesive-backed labeling materials designed for use with cut-sheet braille embossers, Perkins Braillers, slates, and other single-sheet embossing devices. ATC Braillables are coated with an anti-microbial, self-sanitizing surface and can safely be cleaned with many common household cleaners. Our braille labels are made from a durable, plastic-like material that can be cleaned using many non-bleach cleaners such as Lysol® disinfectant spray or wipes, Windex®, or Formula 409® (non-bleach formulas). Regular cleaning can help reduce the growth and transmission of germs. Avoid using cleaners that contain bleach, acids, or abrasive materials such as Comet®, as these may damage the labels. If you are unsure about a cleaning product, test it on a small area first or contact us and we will be happy to assist. Braillables have an anti-microbial, self-sanitizing surface. The antimicrobial coating used on our labels is EPA registered and permanently bonded to the surface of the material. This coating does not alter the way the labels feel, smell, feed through your braille embosser, or retain embossed braille dots. The nano-sized antimicrobial layer works by disrupting germ membranes upon contact. This action prevents microorganisms from surviving on the surface and inhibits the growth of bacteria and other pathogens. Because this antimicrobial protection works through a physical process, it remains active 24 hours a day without the use of toxic chemicals or heavy metals. It provides an additional layer of protection to complement your existing cleaning protocols and helps reduce the spread of germs in classrooms, homes, and workplaces. Lab testing results: In recent laboratory testing, the antimicrobial surface demonstrated 94–98% effectiveness within two hours of exposure, and approximately 99% effectiveness within four hours.
