Once your image is on the Swell Touch paper (also called swell paper, capsule paper, microcapsule paper, or flexi paper), run it through the Swell Form Pro machine. The heat reacts only with the black ink, causing it to “swell” or puff up, creating a tactile image. All other areas, including colored sections, remain flat. Instead of printing or copying, users can also draw directly onto the paper with the Swell Touch marker — the process works the same way: the black ink swells when exposed to heat. Print, copy, or draw your graphics onto Swell Touch paper and place it on the conveyor belt with the image facing up. The conveyor moves the sheets under the heating system and deposits them into the collection tray. Completed graphics are ready to touch just seconds after processing.
