He held office as leader of the Liberal Party of Australia and was the member of parliament (MP) for the New South Wales division of Bennelong from 1974 to 2007. Kim Christian Beazley AC (born 14 December 1948) is an Australian former politician and diplomat. Since 2022 he has served as chairman of the Australian War Memorial. Previously, he was leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and leader of the opposition from 1996 to 2001 and 2005 to 2006, having previously been a cabinet minister in the Hawke and Keating governments. After leaving parliament, he served as ambassador to the United States from 2010 to 2016 and 33rd governor of Western Australia from 2018 to 2022. When this first day envelope was released, John Howard was Prime Minister and Kim Beazley was leader of the opposition. These items were personally signed by John and Kim, likely not long after they were released. Some of the charities who conducted fund raising auctions wouldn’t have the time or funds to frame items they received. You can frame it yourself.
